God's box

My husband and I had to fill out some paperwork. There were pages of questions and little box's to check for the answers. So many of these questions did not have check the box kind of answers. Our answers didn't fit in the box. Then at the end we had to sign a statement saying all that we checked was totally true and accurate.

I just long for simplicity. No stacks of papers to fill out. I don't want to have to wonder if we checked the right box's and if we have not what might happen. I long for a time of no one looking over our shoulder making shure we are running our life according to what "they" say is the right way. Sometimes I feel like the world tries to put us all in little box's just like those in the paper work. The problem is I don't fit in their box! So my life on this earth is always going to be one of being outside the worlds box. Misunderstood, misrepresented, misinterpreted because there is no box here for me.

My God has no box. He created me the way I am and loves me that way. He has opened up a world to me that is unconfined to this world. This is where I fit! This is my kingdom, my home. God does not give you a stack of papers that have questions such as #1. Do you love me, yes or no. He says "if you love me, show me. If you love me, then feed my lambs" Then He gives me a lifetime to do that. When I fail, He is the Good Shepherd that takes His gentle staff and guides me back to Him. This is the picure of Our Lord. No box's. He created us all different and for a purpose. He has given us a choice in our lives. Follow Him and find freedom from the worlds box's or try to fit yourself into one of those little box's.

I choose the freedom of God! Is it always easy? No, in fact it is never easy. People are still going to want to fit you into a box. When you don't fit they will surely let you know in one way or another. But I am not going to give up or give in. I would rather live in the freedom that Christ has given me than in any little, tiny box the world has made for me.

God is good and I am thankful!

Inspiring post! God ways are so far above our ways. I love the fact that God is limitless and not confined to check boxes :-)

Working for the government I find myself creating some of those forms you mentioned, both online and for "pen and paper" records... :(

I'll keep this post in mind and strive for simplicity next time I make one, though I usually don't control the content...I just create the form. :)

Awesome post Mom!!! That is soooo true! Life here in PR has really been showing me God wants to take me "out of the box" aswell. The box I put myself in & the box the world puts me in. And are they pretty tiny boxes. Praise God that His ways are so much higher than mine! Luv ya lots!
